Sasha Pirker, visual artist and filmmaker, studied Linguistics. She teaches Film, Video and Art at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
Her films have been screened at over 60 festivals such as Venice Film Festival, Anthology Films Archives NY, Oberhausen, FID Marseille, Cinema du réel Paris, doclisboa Lisbon, Madrid, Rotterdam, Tokyo, Busan, Melbourne, Fogo Island, Diagonale, Viennale, Kassel, among others.Since 2014 she runs the independent space “SIZE MATTERS. Space for Art & Film” in Vienna (together with Dariusz Kowalski) sizematters.club
