Studied architecture at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich). During his studies, he became acquainted with architect Rudolf Olgiati and sculptor Hans Josephsohn and studied proportions. Collaboration with Gody Kühnis. Own studio in Zurich since 1978, construction of a two-family house. Investigation of architectural language for the expression of buildings with drawings for façades. Individual buildings in collaboration with Stephan Bellwalder. 2000 atelier and own studio. External examiner at London Metropolitan University. From 2002 to 2015 professor of design at the Department of Architecture at ETH Zurich. Since 2013 visiting professor at the MARCH School of Architecture in Moscow. 2016 RIBA International Fellow.
