Space defines the relationships between us and our environment. Urban and landscape spaces are created by architectural settings, interior spaces are defined by them and threshold spaces are created at the interfaces and transitions: between outside and inside, between public and private, between large and small scale.
Architectural settings and strategies combine in a design constructive-material challenges with social attitudes, site-specific situations with typological models and patterns. The design of spaces rich in relationships within and between all scales is at the centre of our teaching and research activities.
