The course will be practice- oriented, pulling together all contents from the Department of Spatial Design. The focus of the spatial examination remains the realization of the design at a scale of 1:1.
A design task of appropriate scale forms the courses point of departure. The teaching content will be project- dependent, based on the chosen design task. The final result will be a group effort, a realization in built form, experimental in nature and at a scale of 1:1.
Requirements: satisfaction in clearly defining a task, and in its materialization at a scale of 1:1, good spatial sense, a feel for the relationship between material and form, as well as the ability to perform manual skills and organize resources.
Method:
Methods of design and work, the choice in material and color, and the manipulation of daylight and artificial light are to be conveyed. A formal, constructive, and organizational thinking process is to be stimulated, while also promoting ecological and economical considerations in the process of realizing the design. Practice work in the form of analyses, plans, models and/or material samples. The final result will be a single and group effort, a realization in built form, experimental in nature and at a scale of 1:1.
