Markets are places of exchange, local supply, and urban life.
The interest in healthy and sustainable food, the desire for fair production methods and short transport routes are making marketplaces increasingly important to city dwellers. At the same time, there is a great desire for nearby recreational areas, open spaces, places with design possibilities, and quiet islands within the urban fabric.
Themed markets attract many Viennese residents and tourists alike and are an important component of city marketing. In the age of online shopping, markets are more than just trading and information platforms; they are places where diverse spatial experiences and authentic sensory impressions combine to create a special experience. When we travel, we seek out these places to gather authentic experiences, unforgettable sensory impressions, and lively encounters.
Traditional markets are overshadowed by seasonal theme markets that are more reminiscent of cheap consumerism and simple entertainment than trade and exchange. However, creative start-ups, innovative craft businesses, and exceptional design teams represent the potential of the domestic economy. They can be the driving force behind new strategies in trade and marketing. They are the driving force behind the market of the 21st century.
The diploma seminar focuses on the topic of daylight in sales rooms.
Here, protecting exhibits plays a significant role alongside atmospheric components. The tasks of presentation, production, and storage require different approaches, which are explored.
Daylight promotes health and influences the well-being of users. The visual perception of exhibits, light protection, and the atmosphere in the room must be coordinated.
The seminar focuses on the fundamentals of lighting design, researching selected, consolidating topics, and narrowing down the focus of your work.
The structure of the work, the approach to the design, the detailed elaboration, the schedule, the presentation, and the graphics will be discussed.
The aim is to prepare for a thesis with a focus on sales rooms with daylight.
