„I wanted to understand the meaning architectural drawing by hand had in the past, and the meaning it has today. To do so the only things that I could do were to study and draw.“ – Federico Rebecchini

Lauretta Vinciarell
In the summer term 2025 the subject of architectural representations will be dealt with – in this specific case, the analysis and appropriation of architectural visualisations. In the course of the seminar, each participant designs a page, with the emphasis being on the form of representation and not the design.
Aim of the course:
5-6 selected architects will be analysed by the students and the respective representation technique will be “copied”. The result is 26 charts and a joint publication.
The emphasis will be on:
– Analysis of architectural representations and their inspiration
– Application of representation techniques: drawings, collage, rendering etc.
– Narrative structure, division of the page, picture composition
– How do I start with a layout?
– Depiction and curating of one’s own working process
– Introduction into exhibition formats – the display as a joint connecting element
